Stay Alert! Suspicious Emails are Circulating! from: Admin <admin@steministsociety.com> to: All <people@steministsociety.com>

Dear Steminists,

We have detected multiple phishing attempts targeting our organization . These emails look legit but they are crafted to trick you into clicking their shady links and giving up sensitive information.

Here are some quick signs of phishing:

  • Urgency: “Act fast!” or “Limited time!”
  • They are too good to be true: Free gifts, prizes or strange offers
  • Unknown senders
  • Weird links or attachments
  • Emotional Pressure: they want you to excite or panic you just to get the link clicked quickly.

So, always double check the sender, look for weird links and most importantly trust your instincts.

If you feel something is off, or want to confirm the phishing attempt, run this in the terminal:

inspect-link --url [suspicious link]

The terminal will guide you from there.

Also, if something is up, let me know immediately.

No pressure people, just precaution is better than care!

Have a great day ahead!

Regards,
Admin
